The Booking Process

3/1/2024

*** The next schedule opening date will be November 25th. The process is email only and all emails must be sent to [email protected]. While clients may email for general questions at any time, new appointment submissions are only taken on schedule opening dates.***

How It Works
1. Your email must be sent on the book opening date, not before. The email must include specifics about the project such as style, content/theme, location on the body, size, photo references if applicable and your preferred day of the week for availability.
2. You will receive an email from myself or shop management confirming that the project has been added to the wait list. Be patient as sometimes it can take several days to work through the emails and to reply to everyone.
3. When I have worked down to your project on the wait list, you will receive a follow up email to confirm an appointment date. If you have a large multi-session project, you'll stay in a 3-4 week rotation until the project is completed.

When the wait time reaches an estimated 4- 6 months, I will unfortunately have to decline new requests and designate the season closed for additional clients.

Tips and Reminders
  • My system is a little unconventional and can be confusing if it's your first time through or you haven't been tattooed in a while. Please feel free to ask questions or request a consult. You don't need to wait for the book opening date to email or visit the shop for general questions or to book a consult.
  • I'm a morning shift tattooer. At this time, I'm not booking in the evenings.
  • I'm focusing on black and grey pieces only. I'm always happy to provide referrals for color pieces or styles that I don't feel I'm proficient in.
  • Saturdays are the most requested day, so there's always a longer wait if this is your preferred day. If you are available on weekdays, I will be able to rotate you in faster.
  • Your place in the season is determined by the order that the emails come in. Emailing earlier on the opening date can mean the difference between starting early or late in the season.
  • I will be asking for consultations and deposits going forward. Your deposit is non-refundable so please be sure that you're ready to commit to the process.
  • I have lots of additional resources, including a FAQ page, available on Summerhamrick.com so please take advantage of them.
  • A good attitude goes a long way. Let's do our best to be excellent to each other.
I look forward to working with you and don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions prior to schedule opening dates.

Best wishes,
Summer
